Contract Research for Drug R&D

Partnering with LIDE is designed to be straightforward, flexible, and responsive. From first discussions to study delivery, our Scientific Engagement and Business Development teams guide you through each step to ensure smooth collaboration.

Partnering with a new CRO can be difficult and time consuming. At LIDE, engagement can be summarized into 5 major steps:

1. Confidentiality

  • CDAs – Recommended for open discussions; standard templates available or we can sign yours.
  • MSAs – Optional for first projects; preferred for long-term engagements (with discount incentives).
  • MTAs – Required for transfer of study materials; processed as needed.

2. Study Consultation

  • Already know your study design? Send details, and we’ll draft a quote immediately.
  • Exploring options? Schedule a complimentary call with our team to see how MiniPDX can fit into your plan, or how best to select models.

3. Model Selection

  • Use our online model database for quick searches.
  • Need support? Our team can help filter models by indication, genotype, or phenotype.

4. Shipping Compounds

  • Our labs are in Shanghai and Xi’an, China.
  • A dedicated shipment coordinator will guide documentation and regulatory steps.
  • Import permits are required for international shipments so best to start this process early.

5. Timeline Review

Once an SOW is signed, we’ll assign a Study Director who will send you a formal timeline for your specific study. Beforehand, you can use these general timelines.

  • PDX studies: 4–8 weeks for revival + 4–8 weeks for expansion before treatment.
  • Fresh patient samples: Timing depends on patient/sample criteria; early engagement recommended.
  • Cell line studies: Fast turnaround, often immediate.
  • Accelerated options
    • 200–300 PDX models already revived at any given time (no revival cost).
    • Frozen PDXOs available for faster ex vivo studies.
    • MiniPDX® as a rapid, resource-efficient alternative.
